New brand image and vision for Cumbria’s Leading Residential, Estate and Lettings Agents

30th August 2019

This week sees the announcement of the rebrand of three of the foremost property agencies in Cumbria – H&H King, Michael CL Hodgson and recently acquired Smeatons and its land agency, H&H Land and Property – to H&H Land & Estates

This strategic business move not only establishes a new brand, it strengthens the reputation of these noted, property agencies which have an extremely strong high street presence.

Part of H&H Group of Cumbria, H&H Land & Estates will offer an extensive portfolio of residential property sales and lettings services from all of its 9 offices, located throughout Cumbria, the North East of England and Scottish Borders.  As noted professionals in the residential, rural and estate agency industry there will be a very strong focus on providing the highest level of expertise and customer care.

Managing Director of H&H Land & Estates, Colin Tomlinson, commented on the decision to merge and his vision for the future of the company:

“We aim to significantly expand the portfolio of properties that we currently offer for sale under the new unified identity of H&H Land & Estates.  As a company we are uniquely placed in our region to offer a comprehensive package of services with the ability to advise, market for sale or let a diverse range of properties; residential, commercial, rural and agricultural.

“With the purchase of Michael CL Hodgson four years ago, operating out of Kendal and Grange-over-Sands, and the very recent acquisition of Smeatons, with branches  at Cockermouth and Keswick, we were fully aware that the image of the company was disjointed and becoming complex for customers to understand and that a simpler identity and message was required.

“It is always a brave move to rebrand, with one business model, but it is necessary as we need to provide clarity for our customers. In addition under the H&H Land & Estates banner we are broadening the property services we offer to our residential and lettings customers and strengthening the range of disciplines we offer to our farming and rural clients.

“From both a residential sales and letting perspective, the knowledge in our highly experienced residential teams across all of our offices is second to none. Each has an in-depth understanding of the areas in which they operate from and the needs of today’s property market which of course is of the utmost benefit to our customers.

Each of the H&H Land & Estates offices will provide a multi-faceted offering incorporating all aspects of property sales and lettings. Each has become a hub for clients and customers to have access to the company’s full range of professional services such as farm and land sales, planning, development, valuations, estate and land management and environmental and forestry advice.
